Athletics and Fitness at Forge

Movement Fuels the Mind

At Forge Prep, athletics aren’t an afterthought. They’re built into every day. Movement, play, and physical challenges are how students build resilience, learn teamwork, and develop discipline – skills that show up in every part of their lives.

We don’t separate “academics” from “athletics.” The qualities students develop through sports – grit, focus, collaboration – are the same ones that help them master difficult concepts, persist through setbacks, and work effectively with others.

Physical education is mental education. And we take both seriously.

Where Play Meets Purpose

Students participate in a mix of structured sports and exploratory movement:

  • Soccer
  • Baseball
  • Tennis / Pickleball
  • Basketball
  • Volleyball
  • Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
  • Ninja Course
  • Gaga

The focus isn’t on creating elite athletes – it’s on building students who are confident, capable, and comfortable taking on physical challenges. Students learn how to train, how to recover, and how to push themselves in ways that build long-term habits of health and discipline.

Why It Matters

Students who move regularly think more clearly, focus better, and manage stress more effectively. Physical activity isn’t a break from learning – it supports it. At Forge Prep, we design our schedule around this reality, giving students time every day to move, play, and reset so they can show up ready to do their best work.
